Ordered from them for the first time. Got 6 fish. One of the koi angels was not right from the beginning, at top of water on its side. Died the next day. They will not do anything about it because it didn’t show up dead. Shipping charge is ridiculous!!! I am only an hour away from them in Florida and shipping was over $40! Don’t order from these people!!!

First off, DO NOT BUY any fish from this place! I made the mistake of ordering before reading reviews and unfortunately I was not the exception. Sick fish, carelessly packed, and about the worst customer you could imagine. I ordered five discus. I was a bit apprehensive having such a delicate fish shipped but reading the information on the web page made me feel a bit more comfortable. I thought having experience they would at least be packed well. I was wrong. They came in vastly undersized leaky bags with barely enough water to cover them. It was also a low temp of 30 overnight. They stated they would take extra precautions in cases of cold weather. They did not. There was one heat pack taped to the top of the cooler which was already room temp at best by the time I opened the box and what little water there was left in the bags was very cold. Following instructions I floated them for the prescribed time and began to release. Every one of the five fish were in deplorable condition. They were all sickly with white patches and suffering from fin rot. Seriously the five worst fish I’ve ever seen. How you can possibly sell someone fish in that condition is beyond me. On to the customer service. I was very polite in my email sent less then an hour after receiving the fish. I simply described their condition and expressed my concern for their health and asked for advice on how or with what to treat them. Nearly 24 hours later he responded and asked for pictures. I sent the photos and since he saw that they were not in a bare bottom tank he refused to offer any help or advice. He sells me dying sick fish and without any remorse refuses to even acknowledge their condition. This man obviously cares nothing about his fish. And he wonders why people send him belligerent emails. Maybe he should ask himself why that is.

Purchasing live fish online requires overnight shipping to allow the lowest possible DOA (death on arrival) mainly according to where you live from the fish store itself. Some areas are too hot for fish to sit in more than 12 hours in a bag and box and that’s why next day is required.

Please read more thoroughly through the terms and conditions when purchasing fish from a site. Thanks!

Resolved this complaint by not using this vendor any more since they all require the consumer to pay at least $30+ for overnight shipping it is not necessary to use local.

The customer rep going by Keith who handles orders is a real POS. After inquiring about an additional charge this entity decided to ban me. They insist on very expensive overnight delivery of live fish which does not guarantee anything related to DOAs. Also found their fish to be infected with pathogens and of very poor quality, many they sell at discounted prices simply are runts with short lifespans. Cheap garbage fish is this company's racket with bogus reviews since there is no means for a user to post autonomously. As far as I know there is no phone contact and accept only email inquiries responding at their own descretion. BUYER BEWARE!

*** look at the orignal review.I have no reason to disclose any more than I have already. The vendor knows the situation and he is the one who got upset about the incident where I questioned the additional charges and decided to do this foolish banning business It is no secret that most of the fish coming from many breeders have that issues related to fungus and that is why the breeder recommends a quarentine. I really do not know what kind of mental case YOU are?

Hmmm, you don't include your name because you are obviously LYING about their fish!! You are most definitely a COWARD and a DISTURBED person. Most likely a miserable, angry dishonest one!

The only real problem here is that you were cut-off and banned prior to doing business with somethingsphishy and you decided to slander them during a childish temper tantrum!! What a TRUE LOSER YOU ARE!!

I asked him questions he got mad and said he was deleting me as a customer. Still not sure why, but after that I said he must really hate his job to treat people the way he treated me. His reply? I knew I was correct in banning you. I’m still sitting her dumbfounded at where all this hatred and anger comes from, but needless to say even if he didn’t cancel my order, I wouldn’t buy from him now. He must get A LOT of complaints to just automatically attack a customer for no reason. And I’d bet that the comment before mine is him trying to make himself look good.he even said I love my job I’m so busy I can’t keep up. Like I said he wasn’t or something. I told him I’m glad he busy and said take care. Then his last reply to that was you took awhile to write that no didn’t read it this is my last email. LOL All I can say is WOW that man is bitter.

One strange guy running this

I made large purchase. Of course in doing so I have concerns, worries but everything seemed to go okay. So I made another, we are talking in the $500 range. On this one I noticed on the site the day I received my fish that some of them had went on sale. I could have saved $20. I emailed them asking if I could get a coupon for the $20 on a future purchase. I was told no b/c they were not on sale when I placed the order (2 days earlier) and they were not on sale when it shipped, yesterday. I am not sure if that is what started *** him off about me but I can only guess. I placed another order for almost $500 just a couple days later. It arrived extremely cold with a dead fish and several not doing good at all. I followed the terms and sent in an email. It took over an hour to hear from them and it was a simple, you will be refunded for the one dead fish pictured. No concern for the other fish expressed, hints to help them, meds to offer, nothing. 3 days later I still had heard nothing, nor seen the refund so I sent an email. I received a reply that do to my insulting email my account has been closed and I can take my business else where! LOL The insult, "Just in case you care" was the line I used to let them know several fish were barely hanging on and I asked if they had any suggestions I could do to help them. I wasn't even asking for a refund as I knew the terms. Must be awesome to have a business that you can be rude and kick out paying customers.

Aarron wise Is a very dishonest person who wanted to use non existent "coupons" for fish at 7.95 for what he called RESELL. He is completely dishonest at his representation of his transaction with Somethingsphishy.com.

He wanted free shipping, complained about other online sellers, demanded unrealistic terms and made many threats to hurt our business.

Had gotten a king komfa flowerhorn srry dont mind my spelli ng but showed up dead in 2009 or 10 sent me another within 2 days and had great customer service for me and my friends who ordered multiple flowerhorns idk if its the fisb ppl oreder mayber or he became so busy quality fell off but ima check him out and order something from him soon bc my fish just died i got from him way back then will post soon and let u know how everything went ..ps his fish made me alot of money breeding it with a purple rose queen and my convict maganeese cross

I am so lost right now... I feel like I have been messaging a 10 year old with my valid concerns about a $100 purchase I just made on Somthingphishy.com.

If you have been fooled like I was, I have to let you know, their reviews are not real on their website. When I complained to the company owner by email, he went and deleted my account right away, before I was able to comment. When I asked about why the royal purple discus I received was yellow, i was told that I had not done my research... I also was told that I had not even looked at my own pictures that I sent to them.

This company is VERY DEMEANING and RUDE! Do not even waste your time or money on their ***. I will not be using them ever again. Not to mention that my final email from him was: "Your is now closed." He doesn't even know how to create a full sentence.....?

I feel like I am being pranked! *****DO NOT USE SOMETHINGPHISHY.COM*** I have added a picture of the actual discus I received and the one that was posted on their website for comparison.

PLEASE CONTACT the WILDLIFE INSPECTORS OFFICE IN TAMPA FLORIDA AND FILE A COMPLAINT AGAINST THESE SCAM ARTIST! IT ONLY TAKES A FEW MINUTES!!!

1-81*-***-****. THE more people we have to back these claims the better of getting these people SHUT DOWN FOR GOOD!!!!

This is an update to my post yesterday. AFTER these folks were told to cancel my order 15 minutes after I placed it and then argued with me that they would charge me a 20% restocking fee if I did, I told them NO you won't charge me bogus fees for something you have not even filled yet and cancel my order, (this was at 11:20 am yesterday morning.

The crooks attempted to charge my credit card at 9:45pm last night for the amount of the entire order! Needless to say their crooked attempt FAILED miserably because I had enough common since to call my bank and block any future charges from these scam artist!! Not only that, they have also blocked all my emails and went a step further by blocking my internet address so I cannot even access their website just like many other pissed consumers state has happened to them. PLEASE do NOT make the mistake of attempting to purchase anything from these rip off artist and SPREAD the WORD they are BAD NEWS!!!!

LETS GET THEM SHUT DOWN FOR GOOD!! so they cannot do this to anyone else!!

I unfortunately placed an order today (friday ), then realized these scammers had no phone or address. I emailed them multiple times to cancel my order 15 minutes after it was placed because I became highly suspicious of not being able to contact these people (whoever they are). They finally emailed me back after multiple threats and said they were an internet company and I would be charged a 20% restocking fee including shipping fees and my order was not even processed or scheduled to ship until Tuesday of the following week. That is when I started investigating and found this web site (one of many) of 100's of pissed consumers who were also scammed and taken advantage of, not just for monentary reasons but recieving dead and diseased animals that either arrived dead or died a couple of days later. PLEASE TAKE MY ADVICE as well as everyone elses on here and DO NOT BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE!!!! YOU WILL REGRET IT!!!! Needless to say, I got them in the end. I cancelled my credit card and had a new one reissued so they could not place fraudulent charges on it. it was a headache but better than being taken to the cleaners by some back woods garage selling fish market.

Wow... this must be where all the bad reviews are being posted since it is definitely not on the company site.

I had 2 previous orders in which fish were DOA or otherwise infected with parasites or fungus. In most cases I was able to treat successfully and took things in stride. However his attitude really is what set me off.

I think by banning me he unwittingly did me a giant favor. I guess it must be tough being a Discus breeder.

Sent for 10 fish and have never seen packing like this in my life. I otdered 2 day mail......ordered on 6-25 and told I would receive order on 6-27........When fish were not received I contacted company and was toldno..........6-28 with an attitude. On 6-29 at 4:30pm the box arrived. The smell was unbearable without even opening the box. Much to our suprise. The 5 large size angel fish were in small baggie type bags in a second bag. There was about 12 onces of water in each bag with inside bags leaking and fish trapped between the bags......dead and bloated with a filhy stench. I have ordered online fish before and have never seen something like this. Before I even received the fish I was sent a message I would not receive a refund for any fish dead upon arrival.

5/2/17 I never had a chance to begin a discus tank after having marine fish for many years. After several emails with what I thought were pertinent questions, I was dismissed with "this is my 4th response to your inquiries, please order or go else ware. When I responded to the way I was treated, I was told they are the largest seller of discus and don't need my business I see many others have had similar bad customer service. I am 70, disabled after a stroke and this is one of my few ways to escape. What really seemed to make them angry was when I asked if there were any coupons (after seeing that at checkout, there is a space to enter coupons) There are tons of good aquariums that specialize in discus. Go to another business or take your chance Shame on you Somethingsphisy.com

I had recently ordered some discus fish and had a comment about the way they were shipped/handled. When I went to open my account it was no longer accessible. I didn't think my comment was inflammatory but apparently they do not want ANY negative comments. Here is a copy of my comment and pictures to go with the email: Good morning. First of all, I want to let you know that I am thrilled with my order. The size and quality of the fish far exceeded what I was expecting, and I’m sure I will be placing additional orders in the future. I do however, want to alert you to an issue with my order. I was tracking the order on the delivery website and it projected the delivery between 12:15-4:15pm. The delivery did not arrive until 7:30pm that night. Not really a big deal…but I watched the driver take the box out of the truck. He was holding it sideways and the box was literally dripping. The driver said “Oh I smell something fishy!” and I asked him to please not hold the box at that angle since there was live fish in it. When he handed me the box, it was SOAKED. He asked me if I wanted to open the box right there since I was pretty upset and I said yes. One of the bags inside leaked and had absolutely no water in it. I couldn’t really see the fish because the bag was partially opaque. I went ahead and floated the bags anyway prior to opening the one and thankfully the fish was okay. (It was the Blue Diamond.) It isn’t really eating and I’m sure a little traumatized – but otherwise it appears to be ok. I am attaching pictures of the box as it was delivered. Fortunately for me, I live in Orlando so the shipment was only from Tampa to Orlando, but had I been farther, I’m sure that fish would not have made it. I don’t know if it was the packaging or the handling that caused the problem, but I wanted you to see it because there is quite a bit of bad reviews on the internet regarding the delivery of your fish.
